Lead Estimator at HydroBid, Owen brings over 15 years of industry experience across plumbing, hydraulic construction, project engineering and project management. 

Owen has  a background combining practical hands-on installation knowledge with formal civil engineering training and real tendering exposure from both the subcontractor and procurement side. 

This allows HydroBid to prepare estimates that are technically sound, commercially realistic and aligned with the way head contractors benchmark and select tenders. 

Class 2 residential project management experience brings a valuable head contractor and procurement perspective to our service.  

Experience managing project delivery, reviewing scopes and quotations, benchmarking tenders and coordinating subcontractors has developed an understanding of how tenders are benchmarked and what makes a submission competitive and credible to a head contractor. 

This enables HydroBid to prepare estimates and proposals that are not only accurate, but structured to help win work. 

Formal civil engineering qualification from Deakin University and hydraulic project engineering experience across Class 2 residential, commercial redevelopments and civil infrastructure projects provides an understanding how to take a project from documentation through to delivery. 

This provides a strong technical foundation for our hydraulic estimating and ensures submissions are prepared with a clear understanding of constructability, compliance and delivery risk in mind.

From humble plumbing apprentice through to site foreman on large commercial and multi-unit developments, Owen developed a strong practical understanding of how hydraulic works are delivered throughout the project cycle. 

That hands-on trade background means estimates at HydroBid are grounded in real experience in installation, labour allocation and sequencing, not just what appears on the drawings.
